High-quality, cost-effective dental treatment in Korea

At DMA, it’s very important to us that you understand the levels of safety, care, and technology embedded into our DMI Korea programme right from the start, so that you feel comfortable, enjoy the process, and get an excellent dental outcome.

So come with us on a guided video tour…

At Dental Members Australia we’ve always had skilled clinicians and the highest-quality materials for our patients. The local Australian option is always there, and we usually encourage it first.

But complex dentistry can be expensive here. That means some patients can get pigeonholed into extreme costs or nothing.

DMI Korea exists to give those patients a second option, in the safest way possible.

We have made sure that everything is taken care of before sending you overseas.

The materials are the same or better systems that we use in Australia. Our clinicians in Korea meet or exceed our Australian standards. We work with the best.

The most important thing:

We give you a local warranty and after-care. When you get back home, you’re taken care of in your local Dental Members Australia clinic, so you always have someone to call on when you need help.

On this page, you’ll meet our senior team members in both Australia and Korea, and take a tour through our Korean partner clinics…

Korea, the high quality alternative

Dr Safa and Dr Nick discuss why they chose Korea for our partner clinics, how the quality held up to our standards, and how we make the international option completely safe.

Advanced Korean dental technology

Accuracy in implant surgery depends as much on the technology behind the planning as on the hands doing the work.

Clinical Director Dr JC walks through the equipment his team uses to complete safe and accurate procedures for our Australian patients.

How we maximise care and safety for Australian patients

Material quality, so the systems used in Korea are the same or better than the ones we use in Australia. Clinician standard, working almost exclusively with specialists.

An oral surgeon places the implants and a specialist prosthodontist restores them…

Watch the video to hear Dr Safa and Dr Nick explain how each one is checked.

Full arch implant treatment

Many of our patients travel to Korea for full arch implant treatment. It is extremely expensive surgery in Australia and relatively cost-effective in Korea.

Clinical Director Dr JC explains his philosophy of full arch implant treatment and how he approaches it for our Australian patients.

Watch the video to understand how the treatment actually works.

Is overseas treatment right for you?

Patient selection matters, and we have worked hard on it in the background. Going to Korea is not the answer to everyone’s prayers.

There are patients we will not encourage or recommend to travel, because if a procedure is difficult or more prone to risk it is only realistic to have it managed on home soil.

Is it safe to have implant surgery in Korea?
Our partner clinics have performed over 70,000 implant procedures. Dr Park Jung-chul is the first Asian recipient of the André Schroeder Award – the Nobel Prize of implant dentistry. Every patient also has an Australian clinician monitoring care before, during and after.

Every patient receives a formal warranty certificate and 3 years of DMI Protect+. Single implant failures treated locally. Multiple failures: DMI covers your return to Korea and the Korean clinic covers all remediation. Within the documented warranty terms, remediation costs are covered. Full terms provided in writing at consultation

Two trips is the DMI clinical standard. Trip 1 places implants and fits provisional teeth. After 4–6 months of healing monitored by your Australian dentist, Trip 2 fits the final zirconia bridge — confirming osseointegration first and dramatically reducing complications. For more complex cases, a third trip to Seoul may be recommended by the Korean surgical team. If a third trip is required, hotel accommodation and transfers are covered by DMI. Flights for all trips are arranged by DMI through Flight Centre and paid separately by the patient.
The DMI Korea Programme is accessed through direct payment or an approved payment plan, subject to credit assessment. Superannuation cannot be used for the Korea pathway — it is a choice-based overseas programme and does not meet the ATO’s criteria for compassionate release. If you are considering an Australian treatment pathway instead, superannuation may be available — this will be discussed separately at your consultation. No financial commitment is made before your full clinical assessment is complete.
Published peer-reviewed literature reports high long-term survival rates for dental implants in appropriately selected patients. Zirconia bridge longevity varies depending on individual patient factors including bite load, home care compliance and systemic health. Your clinician will discuss realistic expectations based on your individual circumstances. Individual outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
The DMI Korea Programme fee includes implant surgery, all extractions, provisional teeth on the day of surgery, hotel accommodation for all trips, all airport and clinic transfers, your final full zirconia bridge, written warranty certificate and three years of Australian aftercare under DMI Protect+. The only costs outside the programme fee are your international flights arranged through Flight Centre and quoted separately and personal travel expenses. There are no hidden costs. Your full itemised quote is provided in writing before any commitment is made.
